Dr. Wallace shares a deeply moving testimony that began in the housing projects of South Baltimore, a tough environment where his view of what he could achieve in life was initially very narrow. Growing up surrounded by street fights, drinking, and ungodly behavior, his life took a defining turn when he was just 13 or 14 years old. That night, after running with a crew of tough guys, his group was about to commit a violent act against another young man. Feeling a deep spiritual conviction, Robert intervened, saving the young man's life and getting him home safely. Looking at his friends and himself, Robert realized that God never intended for them to live in destruction. He went home, knocked on his parents' bedroom door, and began a lifelong journey of faith and expansion.
Today, Dr. Robert Wallace's vision has expanded far beyond South Baltimore. He has authored multiple books, built successful businesses, led mission trips across Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia, and is the proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren. Robert L. Wallace is an internationally-known entrepreneur, author, speaker and consultant. With more than 40 years of business experience spanning engineering, energy and IT, Bob blends decades of research with practical real-world advice to educate and inspire entrepreneurs and executives worldwide. Now, he shares his innovative strategies for success with other corporate and community leaders through his growing library of books and other content, and through his energetic keynote presentations and training workshops. Wallace earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics at the University of Pennsylvania, and his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, where he began his research on the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs. He was also awarded a Doctorate of Humane Letters (Honorary) from Sojourner-Douglass College.
