In this episode of 12-Minute Convos with Jesus Believers, Engel Jones connects with pastor, designer, and marketplace entrepreneur David Ncube, joining the show from Lusaka, Zambia. David shares a deeply inspiring testimony of transformation that began just before his 15th birthday. As a teenager in a tight-knit neighborhood clique, David was busy partying and living for the world when two of his friends unexpectedly gave their lives to Christ. Rather than pressuring David, one friend simply continued walking alongside him in love demonstrating a transformed life that spoke louder than words. Intrigued, David attended church the following Sunday, gave his life to Christ, and was filled with the Holy Spirit in that very meeting. David’s fast-tracked journey took off from there: he was ordained as a pastor at age 21, launched his first church branch in Kitwe at age 23, married at 25, and welcomed twin daughters at 27. He also had the joy of seeing his single mother who had dragged him to traditional church as a boy join his ministry and worship beside him until her passing.
However, when a painful trial in 2019 forced him out of full-time church leadership, David found himself navigating the marketplace to provide for his family. Guided by a wise mentor, David discovered that his God-given creative design, editing, and business talents were not secondary they were powerful Kingdom tools to make an impact outside the four walls of the church.
