In this episode of 12-Minute Convos with Jesus Believers, Engel Jones connects with worship leader and musical director Obed Edom Mugisha, joining the program from Uganda. Obed shares his journey in music ministry, organizing sound, training instrumentalists, and launching a nationwide movement called Worship Evenings, which spread across churches throughout Uganda. Despite his deep dedication to ministry, Obed faced one of the most painful and public trials of his life when a wedding he had prepared for was suddenly canceled just days before the ceremony, leaving him in financial loss, shame, and deep depression. Instead of walking away from faith, Obed persisted in prayer and thanksgiving, trusting that God still held his future.
Months later, while riding a motorcycle taxi in Uganda, he struck up a casual conversation with a fellow passenger going in the same direction. That brief ride led to meeting his wife, a fellow worshiper and church planter who complemented his life and ministry in every way. If you have ever experienced heartbreak, public disappointment, or wondered how God restores broken seasons, Obed's story will deeply encourage your faith!

He also helps European and Western churches organize missions in Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania, serving as their eyes and ears on the ground. He writes regularly to founders navigating faith and business.
