In this episode of 12-Minute Convos with Jesus Believers, Engel Jones connects with wellness coach and spiritual mentor Jason Lyle, joining the show from his lifelong home in Georgia, just north of Atlanta. Jason shares a beautifully distinct, intellectually rich testimony that began with an intense childhood curiosity about all things spiritual. Officially "saved" at age eight on December 7, 1979, Jason went down the aisle and took the preacher by the hand but his hunger didn't stop there. By the time he was nine years old, he had read the entire Bible cover-to-cover for the first time. Rather than pointing to a single emotional moment as his complete transformation, Jason describes his faith walk as a 55-year evolution built on hundreds of small, quiet encounters with a presence much larger than himself. Jason opens up about his profound work helping others become truly "embodied" by treating their physical bodies as the temple of the Holy Spirit.
He challenges the modern church’s tendency to chase "spiritual quick fixes" humorously comparing them to the popular weight-loss shots (GLP-1) of today warning that we often pray to go to heaven when we die while actively choosing to live in our own self-created hells today. To break these chains, Jason teaches people how to connect their prefrontal cortex to their amygdala, showing how calming the mind through yoga, breathwork, meditation, and cold-water immersion allows us to silence our memories and hear the still, small voice of God. If you are struggling with self-condemnation, feeling disconnected from your body, or searching for a deep, authentic relationship with Christ, Jason’s powerful reminder to love yourself radically and rest in God's presence will beautifully restore your soul!
