In Episode 16, professional organizer Tonia Blooms joins the podcast from Charlotte, North Carolina, to share her journey of finding freedom from a chaotic, codependent past. Tonia opens up about growing up in a dysfunctional home and learning the painful habit of setting herself on fire just to keep others warm. Listen in to hear how discovering her true value in Jesus helped her establish healthy boundaries and find a more sustainable way to serve people. She discusses her business, Be Organized South Charlotte, revealing that her work isn't just about containers and putting things in order as a recovering "crammer, jammer, stacker"—it's about helping clients who are stuck due to trauma or grief.
Tonia beautifully compares this organizing process to the biblical story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, explaining how she steps into the "fire" with her clients to burn away what no longer serves them, trusting that Jesus is right there with them. Tonia also shares the life-changing reason she replaced the everyday greeting "How are you?" with "Praise God for you" after a trip to Africa, and challenges listeners with a powerful reminder to stop asking what the world needs, and instead pursue what makes them come alive
