Engel JonesIn Episode 54, Jodie Randisi joins the show from beautiful Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Jodie shares the hilarious story of how she became a "state champion liar" by winning a Toastmasters tall tales contest after convincing her neighbors she was in the witness protection program!

But behind the humor is a deep love for people, which led her to start a Toastmasters club inside a prison. Affectionately nicknamed "Breezy" by the inmates, she shares the incredible blessing of helping prisoners find their voices and rebuild their sense of meaning.

Listen in as Jodie vulnerably discusses her current season of life. Despite being a lay minister for 44 years after radically encountering Jesus right after her honeymoon, she and her husband are facing an unexpected financial "U-turn" near retirement age.

She shares how the Word of God provides her daily therapy instead of bitterness, reminding listeners that God connects the dots of our lives over decades. If you feel like everything familiar has been stripped away, Jodie’s advice is simple: if you are at rock bottom, keep looking up!
