In Episode 51, author Carrie Watts joins the show from Brandon, Mississippi, to discuss how to navigate a true "crisis of faith"; those pivotal moments when trauma alters what we believe to be true. Carrie bravely opens up about being sexually abused by a family member at nine years old, despite growing up in a deeply involved church family where her father was a deacon.Listen in as she shares her powerful healing journey that began in her twenties.

After initially bargaining with God to write her memoir but keep it hidden, Carrie pivoted to writing fiction to reach the audience that needed it most: young girls. Through her book Crisis of Faith and its upcoming sequel featuring the Bright Light Safe House, she is on a mission to show young women that healing is absolutely attainable. If you or someone you know has suffered from abuse, Carrie's story is a beautiful reminder that you are made for more and that God is a good Daddy who gives good gifts!
