In this episode of 12-Minute Convos with Jesus Believers, Engel Jones connects with Pastor Billy Partson from Kampala, Uganda. Pastor Billy shares the heartwarming story of feeling the call to ministry at just five years old, playing local drums and joining Pentecostal believers to pray under a mango tree. He discusses the history of the church in Uganda from being banned under Idi Amin to the freedom of worship they celebrate today and his lifelong, God-given dream of building a physical and digital library to make books accessible to everyone in all languages.

Listen in as Pastor Billy offers profound wisdom on the danger of focusing on external appearances rather than building internal capacity. Reminding listeners that "growth is always in process" and our calling naturally unfolds as we spend time with God, he challenges this generation to focus on becoming what the Lord has deposited inside of them instead of simply wanting to be seen. If you need a reminder to seek alignment with God over the applause of men, Pastor Billy's insights on consistent faith living will truly bless you!

Guest's Bio

Billy Partson Nalondebwa is an Apostle, Founder and Director of Billy Partson Ministries and a pastor at The Chosen Church.

Born in 1993, Billy encountered Christ at a very young age while living in the village with his grandmother. At the age of five, he joined a small church meeting under a tree and began serving as a drummer during worship. His passion for God quickly grew, leading him to preach even in banana plantations, imagining them as people.

As a child, Billy led fellow children into fasting, evangelism, and charity. At the age of twelve, through deep study of Scripture and exposure to Christian teachings, he clearly received the call into ministry.

During his secondary school years, Billy actively preached and taught the Word. Some of the fruits of this season include Pastor Simon, now Missions Director of BPM.

Despite early challenges—including ministering under trees—Billy remained faithful. During this time, he wrote his first book, "Secrets Revealed." And many other books, "The Image, leadership series, spiritual growth series, character development, etc "
