In this episode of 12-Minute Convos with Jesus Believers, Engel Jones connects with writer and speaker John Baldock, joining the program from Worcester in the United Kingdom. John shares how he spent his early years attending a traditional, regimented church, assuming that active participation and church attendance were the sum of a Christian life. However, while leading his college's Christian Union as a teenager, hearing the Gospel clearly opened his eyes to the profound difference between living out a religious routine and walking in a personal relationship on God's terms. Realizing his need for forgiveness and surrender, John chose to accept Jesus Christ as the Lord of his life. That decision shifted his walk from doing church activities out of obligation to enjoying genuine fellowship with the Father. Reflecting on his journey, John shares how God created humanity for intimate relationship much like walking together in the cool of the day and how God remains completely faithful through every season and trial.

Today, John encourages believers through his weekly writing and audio recordings at askedquestions.org, a blog dedicated to deepening faith and inspiring steadfast obedience. If you want to move beyond surface-level religion and learn to trust God in both hard times and smooth seasons, John's story will refresh your heart!
