My family and I have been setting 12-week goals over the last couple of years. As we kicked off this year, we built our goals, and for the most part, we have done well. There has been some drop-off in our consistency, but overall we are on track. I use a system from Zig Ziglar’s Born to Win, where I create goals across Mental, Spiritual, Career, Physical, Personal, and Financial categories. It's an exercise Amanda and I began over a decade ago, and it truly works!
My Career goal for these first 12 weeks is an interesting mix of Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Lawn Maintenance, and Podcasting. I do not remember the exact moment, but I received a clear message from the Holy Spirit to have 5,000 #12minconvos with Jesus Believers. We hit the ground running with the team in the second week of January. The goal is to have 5,000 12-minute conversations in 12 months.
I began building the system to support Liezl, as she is our human connection for outreach. She ensures that while the initial invitation might be standardized, every response is individualized. This allows me to focus on other parts of the business—because, after all, we need to make money to support the podcast. This outreach task isn't easy and requires a strong demeanor, as being told "no" can be demotivating. Liezl is much better at this than I was in the early years. She is a champion for big goals, and we appreciate her very much.
While Liezl does her thing, I have the responsibility of building the website and preparing the podcast. I have been working on the site this month, simplifying our messaging as much as possible. Hopefully, you are able to enjoy it and understand its purpose clearly. If there is room for improvement, please feel free to communicate with us at

Behind the scenes, this is a true family effort. Jahaziel, my first son and the editor of over 1,200 podcasts, needed to learn Adobe Premiere Pro to meet our new editing needs. Previously, we were using CapCut because it is quick and easy, but since we already pay for the Adobe suite, we didn't want another subscription. It's been a steep learning curve, but Jahaziel loves technology. Amaziah, our second son, is also learning Photoshop, but very lightly as his main focus is his upcoming national exam on March 26th. Amaziah is our only son currently not being homeschooled. Jahaziel went to primary school and then transitioned to homeschooling, which is our intention with Amaziah as well, especially as we prepare to visit all the countries of the world. Angel, our third son, is 6 years old and has been homeschooled from the start. We use Skillshare for learning through online courses.
I interviewed 2 guests this January. It is a humble start, but I am looking forward to increasing that amount in February. Momentum is powerful.
