In Episode 15, Apostle Michael Alaba joins the podcast from Port Harcourt, Nigeria, to share his remarkable journey from growing up as a devout Muslim to experiencing a radical, divine encounter with Jesus Christ. Michael discusses how reading a book titled The Belief of Ishmael allowed the Holy Spirit to convict his heart, leading to his conversion at age 21. Listen in as he recounts his incredible experience on the mission field in northeast Nigeria, where he typed his first book, Understanding Captivity, entirely on his phone—only to lose the 150,000-word file and have to trust God for the strength to completely start over. Michael also dives into why unwavering integrity is the foundation of any relationship, and he closes the episode with an urgent, heartbreaking plea for the global body of Christ to support the persecuted church currently facing genocide and terrorism in Nigeria.
