In this episode of 12-Minute Convos with Jesus Believers, Engel Jones connects with Pastor Lenkai Matayo, joining the program from Kitengela, Kenya. Lenkai, who is 33 years old, shares his beautiful journey of faith, starting with his childhood as a Maasai a community deeply bound by rich tribal traditions where even pursuing a basic formal education can be a challenge. After receiving Christ during his school years from visiting Nairobi town preachers, Lenkai felt a fiery calling ignite within his soul. He takes us back to the remote forests and mountain wilderness of Kenya, where he would isolate himself for hours to pray, eventually experiencing a miraculous, life-altering encounter with the living God.

Following this deep spiritual forging, Lenkai made the bold leap to relocate to the town of Kitengela, where he began preaching on the streets with nothing but his Bible in hand no microphone, no speakers, and no safety nets.

Today, Lenkai is a husband, father, the leader of Jesus Nation Church International, and the founder of the Interdenominational Global Gathering a movement dedicated to bringing the body of Christ back to the raw power of the altar of prayer. He also treats listeners to a beautiful, heartfelt Swahili message of hope at the end of the conversation. If you have been feeling a pull to escape digital distractions, reignite your personal prayer life, or step out in absolute boldness for the Kingdom, Lenkai's humble Maasai testimony will profoundly challenge and revive your spirit!
