In this episode of 12-Minute Convos with Jesus Believers, Engel Jones connects with Deb Potts from Michigan to discuss the beautiful, challenging reality of a 50-year marriage. Deb candidly shares how she and her husband, Bruce, are complete opposites, and how the first 18 years of their marriage were spent without following Christ. Listen in to hear the fascinating story of how moving to Europe led her to a Bible-believing English service and an unexpected, life-changing encounter with Jesus.
Deb bravely opens up about the "tsunami" of her life; her father's tragic suicide; and how God’s peace kept her from anger, ultimately leading her husband to fully surrender to the Lord just months later. Today, Deb and Bruce serve as marriage mentors, helping other couples navigate their own difficult seasons. Sharing the hard lesson that you cannot "save" anyone else's marriage, she provides wisdom on humility and true spiritual partnership. If you are struggling in your relationships or facing unimaginable grief, Deb’s message to "keep running the race with endurance" will deeply encourage your soul!![]()
